Meet mint.beats, local beatmaker and founder of Bay Beat Summit. Mint has been elusive in the local scene first appearing as lead singer and guitarist for Swells & The Lünatics before veering into lofi boom-bap production. He’s a completely self-taught multi-instrumentalist/producer that uses ethereal guitar and synths elements paired with cinematic samples yielding sounds as intimate as bedroom beats to gritty golden era hip-hop tracks. Mint has just released his first single "Round 2" as his alter ego Johnny Luvjoy and executively produced "Butter" for rising star Gatsby.
